How does the Ford S-Max's Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control work?

I've heard that the Ford S-Max has a feature called Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control, but I'm not sure how it works. Can someone explain it to me?

Hi Emily, the Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control on the Ford S-Max uses radar technology to detect and maintain a safe distance from the car in front of you, even in stop-and-go traffic. It can also adjust your speed to match the posted speed limit.

Hey Emily, the Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control also has a feature called Stop & Go, which can bring the car to a complete stop if needed and then resume driving again when traffic moves. It's a great feature for long highway drives or rush hour traffic.
