Hi Mike, the hill start assist feature in the Ford EcoSport helps prevent rolling back when starting on an incline. It works by automatically engaging the brakes as you release the clutch, giving you more time to switch to the accelerator. It's a very helpful feature especially in heavy traffic or on steep hills.

Hi Mike, I have a Ford EcoSport and have used the hill start assist feature multiple times. It's very easy to use, all you have to do is press and hold the brake pedal while you release the clutch and the feature will automatically engage. You can release the brake when you feel comfortable switching to the accelerator. It's a great feature to have, especially for new drivers!

Hi Mike, the hill start assist feature in the Ford EcoSport is activated when the incline is greater than 5% and the brake pedal is pressed. It releases the brake as you release the clutch to avoid rolling back. It also works in reverse, holding the brake until enough power is applied through the accelerator. I highly recommend this feature, especially for city driving.
