How often should I change my Ford Ranger's engine oil?

I just bought a Ford Ranger and I'm wondering how often I should get the engine oil changed. I've heard different recommendations from different people, but I want to make sure I'm doing it right. Any advice?

As a Ford certified technician, I highly recommend getting your oil changed every 5,000 miles or every 6 months, whichever comes first. This will help keep your engine running smoothly and extend its lifespan. Trust me, it's worth the investment.

I personally change my oil every 7,500 miles, but it really depends on your driving habits and the type of oil you use. If you do a lot of city driving or use conventional oil, you may need to change it more frequently. It's always best to refer to your owner's manual for the recommended interval.

I've been driving my Ford Ranger for over 10 years and I've always followed the 3,000 mile rule. It may be a bit excessive, but I've never had any issues with my engine. Better to be safe than sorry.
