Is there a way to prevent rusting on my Ford Mondeo's body?

I've noticed some rust forming on the fenders and door panels of my Ford Mondeo. Is there anything I can do to prevent it from spreading and causing further damage?

Regularly washing your car and keeping it waxed can help prevent rust from forming. You should also make sure to keep your car in a dry and well-ventilated area, as moisture can accelerate rusting. If you notice any small spots of rust, you can try using a rust converter or primer and paint to stop it from spreading.

I've had the same issue with my Ford Mondeo and have found that regularly inspecting for and promptly repairing any scratches or chips in the paint helps prevent rust. You can also try using a rust inhibitor spray on areas that tend to collect water, like the bottom of the doors.

My uncle who is a mechanic recommended using a rust inhibitor and underbody coating to protect against rust. He also advised against using a high-pressure car wash, as it can remove protective coatings on the car's body.
