What are common issues with the transmission in a Ford Ranger?

I have a 2010 Ford Ranger and have been experiencing some issues with the transmission. It seems to be slipping and hesitating when shifting gears. Does anyone have any advice on how to fix this problem?

I had a 2012 Ford Ranger and experienced similar problems with the transmission. I found out that the shift solenoid was faulty and needed to be replaced. I would recommend getting that checked by a mechanic.
