What is the best type of engine for a Ford Transit Custom?

I recently purchased a Ford Transit Custom and I'm unsure about which engine would be the best fit for my needs. What is the difference between the TDdi and TDCi engines and which one would you recommend for heavy loads and long distance travel?

In my experience, the TDCi engine is more suited for heavy loads and long distance travel. Its high torque output provides better handling and the diesel fuel efficiency is great for long journeys.

I would suggest going for the TDdi engine if you're primarily using the Ford Transit Custom for short distance trips or city driving. It has a decent power output and is more cost-effective in terms of maintenance.
