What is the recommended oil viscosity for a Ford Ranger engine?

I recently purchased a used Ford Ranger and I'm not sure what type of oil to use for the engine. Can anyone give me a recommendation?

I personally use 5W-30 for my Ford Ranger and haven't had any issues. It's a good balance between thick enough for protection and thin enough for easy cold weather starts.
