Why does my Ford EcoSport's engine make a knocking noise?

I've noticed that when driving my Ford EcoSport, the engine makes a knocking noise that wasn't there before. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

Hi Rachel, it's possible that the knocking noise is due to low engine oil or a dirty air filter. I recommend checking both and replacing them if needed. If the noise persists, it's best to take your car to a mechanic for further inspection.

Rachel, have you noticed any decrease in engine performance or strange vibrations while driving? If so, it could be a sign of a more serious issue with the engine. I suggest taking your car to a certified Ford dealership for a diagnostic check.

Hi Rachel, in some cases, a knocking noise can be caused by a loose or damaged engine belt. I recommend getting this checked by a professional and having any necessary repairs done.
