Why does my Ford Galaxy's engine sputter when accelerating?

I recently purchased a used Ford Galaxy and noticed that the engine sputters when I accelerate. It runs fine at idle and cruising speeds, but when I step on the gas it feels like it's struggling. Any ideas on what could be causing this issue?

It sounds like you may have a problem with your fuel system. I would recommend getting your fuel filter checked and possibly cleaned or replaced if needed. Clogged fuel filters can cause sputtering and poor acceleration.

Another possible cause could be a faulty spark plug or ignition coil. If they are worn or malfunctioning, they can affect the engine's performance. I suggest getting them inspected and replaced if necessary.

Have you checked the air filter? A dirty air filter can also cause sputtering and lack of power in the engine. Try replacing it and see if that improves your acceleration.
