Why is my Ford Focus making a clicking sound when I turn on the A/C?

I recently purchased a used Ford Focus and noticed that when I turn on the A/C, there is a clicking sound coming from the engine. What could be causing this and is it something I should be concerned about?

It's most likely an issue with your A/C compressor or a loose belt. I would recommend bringing it to a qualified mechanic to have it checked out.

I had the same issue with my Ford Focus and it turned out to be a faulty air blend door actuator. It's an easy fix and shouldn't be too expensive.

The clicking sound could also be coming from a worn out belt tensioner. I would suggest getting it inspected as soon as possible to avoid any further damage.
