Why is my Ford Kuga making a strange noise when I turn the wheel?

I just bought a used Ford Kuga and noticed that when I turn the wheel, there's a strange noise coming from the front. It almost sounds like a squeaky belt. Is this a common issue with Ford cars? What should I do to fix it?

Hi Jennifer, it's possible that the noise could be coming from a worn out power steering belt. This is a common issue with older Ford cars. I recommend taking your car to a trusted mechanic and have them inspect the belt and other components of your steering system. They can then offer you the best solution to fix the issue.

Hey Jennifer, I had a similar issue with my Ford Focus before. It turned out that the problem was caused by a worn out tie rod. If you drive over bumpy roads or hit a lot of potholes, it's possible that the tie rod has become damaged. I suggest having it checked out by a mechanic as soon as possible to prevent any further damage.
