Why is my Ford Mondeo's engine making a ticking noise when starting?

I recently purchased a Ford Mondeo and I noticed that when I start the engine, it makes a ticking noise for a few seconds before it stops. Is this normal or should I be worried?

It's normal for some engines to make a ticking noise when starting, especially when the car is cold. However, if the noise is consistent or gets louder over time, it could be a sign of a bigger issue. I suggest taking your car to a trusted mechanic for a check-up.

I have a Ford Mondeo and I've never had it make a ticking noise when starting. It could be a sign of a faulty starter or other engine component. I recommend getting it checked out as soon as possible.

I had the same issue with my Ford Mondeo and it turned out to be a loose spark plug. I tightened it and the ticking noise went away. Hopefully, that's all it is for you too!
