Why is the Ford Focus not starting?

I have a 2012 Ford Focus and it is not starting. I tried jumpstarting the car but it still won't turn over. What could be the issue?

Sometimes issues with the battery or starter can cause a car not to start. Have you checked the battery and starter connections?

It could also be a problem with the ignition switch. You may want to check that as well.
