Why is the Ford S-Max not starting in cold weather?

I have a Ford S-Max and it won't start in cold weather. I've tried changing the battery and spark plugs but it still won't turn on. Could this be a problem with the wiring or is it something else?

Hi Mary, it's common for cars to have issues starting in cold weather. This could be due to a variety of factors including old wiring, a weak battery, or even a faulty starter. I would recommend taking your car to a trusted mechanic for a diagnostic test to determine the root cause of the issue.

I had a similar issue with my Ford S-Max and it turned out to be a faulty fuel pump. I recommend getting your fuel pump checked as well. This can cause difficulty starting the car in cold weather.

Have you checked your coolant levels? Low coolant can also prevent your car from starting in cold weather. I suggest getting it checked and topped up if necessary.
