Why won't my Ford Mondeo start in cold weather?

I have a 2009 Ford Mondeo and every winter when the temperature drops below zero, it refuses to start. I've replaced the battery and checked the fuel lines but nothing seems to work. What could be causing this issue?

First of all, you should check your spark plugs and ignition coil. These components can become worn or damaged in extreme weather conditions, causing starting issues. I would also recommend getting your starter and alternator checked by a mechanic.

It could also be an issue with your fuel pump. If it's not delivering enough fuel to the engine, it can prevent your car from starting. Have a mechanic perform a fuel pressure test to determine if this is the problem.

I had the same issue with my Mondeo and it turned out to be a faulty coolant temperature sensor. When the temperature drops below zero, the sensor can send incorrect readings to the engine, causing it to fail to start. I would suggest getting this checked by a mechanic.
