How do I change the spark plugs on my Ford EcoSport?

I have a 2018 Ford EcoSport and I noticed that my car is starting to sound rough. I think it might be time to change the spark plugs, but I've never done it before. Can someone provide some tips on how to change the spark plugs on my Ford EcoSport?

Hi Rachel, changing the spark plugs on your Ford EcoSport is a relatively easy task. First, locate the spark plug wires and follow them to the spark plugs, which are usually located on top of the engine. Use a spark plug socket and an extension to remove the old spark plugs and replace them with new ones. Make sure to properly gap the new spark plugs before installing them. You may also want to change the spark plug wires if they are old or worn. Don't forget to disconnect the negative battery cable before starting the job.

Hello Rachel, I recommend changing your spark plugs every 30,000 miles or as recommended by Ford. A rough idle can definitely be a sign that your spark plugs need to be replaced. It's a simple task that can improve the performance and fuel efficiency of your EcoSport. Make sure to use OEM or high quality spark plugs for best results. Good luck!
