How Do I Check the Engine Oil Level in My Ford Puma?

I just bought a used Ford Puma and I want to make sure the engine oil level is good before taking it for a long drive. Can someone walk me through the steps to check the engine oil level? Any tips or things I should watch out for?

First, make sure the car is parked on level ground and the engine is cool. Then, locate the dipstick which is usually labeled as 'Engine Oil'. Pull it out, wipe it clean with a cloth, and reinsert it all the way. Take it out again to check the level. It should be between the two indicator marks. If it's low, top it off with the recommended oil. Always check the manufacturer's manual for the exact type and amount of oil needed.

To prevent unexpected engine damage, I recommend checking the engine oil level at least once a month. It's a quick and easy task that can save you from expensive repairs in the long run. Make sure to also check for any visible leaks or discoloration of the oil, as those can indicate potential issues with the car.
