How often should I change the oil on my Ford Focus?

I've recently purchased a Ford Focus and I want to make sure I'm taking good care of it. How often should I change the oil? I don't want to cause any damage to the engine.

Hi Samantha, congratulations on your new Ford Focus! It's generally recommended to change your oil every 5,000 to 7,500 miles depending on your driving habits. If you do a lot of stop-and-go city driving, you may want to stick closer to the 5,000 mark. Otherwise, you can stay closer to 7,500 miles. Be sure to also check your owner's manual for more specific recommendations for your specific vehicle.

Hi Samantha, as a fellow Ford Focus owner, I can assure you that changing the oil every 5,000 to 7,500 miles is a good rule of thumb. However, keep in mind that if you see any warning lights or experience any unusual engine noises, you may want to change the oil sooner. It's always better to be safe than sorry when it comes to your car's engine.
