How often should I change the timing belt on my Ford Puma?

I have a 2005 Ford Puma with a timing belt that's been in use for about 6 years now. Should I change it before it breaks or is there a recommended time interval for changing it?

It is recommended to change the timing belt on a Ford Puma every 100,000 km or 8 years, whichever comes first. However, if you use your car for frequent short trips or in extreme weather conditions, it's best to change it more frequently.

I suggest changing the timing belt every 80,000 km or 6 years for added safety. It's better to be proactive and avoid potential engine damage or breakdowns.
