How to check the engine oil level on a Ford S-Max?

I recently bought a used Ford S-Max and I'm not sure how to check the engine oil level. Can anyone give me some advice on how to do it and what to look out for?

To check the engine oil level on a Ford S-Max, first make sure the car is parked on a flat surface and the engine is off. Locate the oil dipstick which is usually located near the engine. Pull it out and wipe it clean. Insert it back in and pull it out again. The oil level should be between the minimum and maximum marks.
