I'm considering purchasing a Ford EcoSport and I noticed that it comes with BLIS and Cross-Traffic Alert as safety features. Can you explain the difference between these two technologies?
ReplyBLIS stands for Blind Spot Information System and it uses sensors to detect if there is a vehicle in your blind spot. Cross-Traffic Alert, on the other hand, uses radar to detect vehicles approaching from the side when you're backing out of a parking spot. Both can help prevent accidents and it's always good to have both features for added safety.
BLIS can also detect vehicles up to 10 feet behind you, whereas Cross-Traffic Alert can detect vehicles up to 15 feet away. It's important to note that these features are not substitutes for checking your blind spots and mirrors, but they can definitely be helpful in certain situations.
