What's the most reliable 4x4 system in the Ford Ranger?

In my experience, the FX4 Off-Road package is the best option for the Ranger's 4x4 system. It offers a Terrain Management System, electronic-locking rear differential, and all-terrain tires which provide excellent grip and control off-road.

I've had the base 4x4 system on my Ranger for years and have never had any issues with it. It's simple, reliable, and gets the job done. Plus, it's more affordable than the other options.

While it may not be the most popular choice, I highly recommend the upgraded Dana front and rear axles on the Ranger's 4x4. These axles have proven to be extremely durable and can handle intense off-roading without breaking a sweat.
