Which engine is the most reliable for the Ford Transit Custom?

I am planning on buying a Ford Transit Custom and I am confused about the different engine options. Which one should I choose for the most reliability and longevity?

Based on my experience with owning a Ford Transit Custom for over 5 years, I highly recommend the 2.2L turbo diesel engine. It has been extremely reliable and has not given me any issues. Plus, it has great fuel efficiency.

I would go with the 3.5L EcoBoost engine. It may cost a bit more, but the superior power and performance make it worth it. Plus, it has a good track record for reliability.

I have used the 2.0L petrol engine on my Ford Transit Custom and have not had any major issues. However, I have heard that the diesel engines are more durable in the long run.
