Why does my Ford EcoSport automatically switch from petrol to diesel while driving?

Recently, my Ford EcoSport has been automatically switching from petrol to diesel while I'm driving. I'm not sure why this is happening and if it's common for Ford cars. Can someone please explain why this is happening and if I should be concerned?
