Why does my Ford Focus produce a loud rattling noise when accelerating?

I recently noticed that my Ford Focus is making a loud rattling noise when I accelerate. It seems to be coming from the engine and gets worse when I press on the gas pedal. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

It sounds like you may have an issue with your exhaust system. The rattling noise could be caused by a loose or damaged exhaust pipe or muffler. I suggest taking it to a mechanic to have it inspected and repaired if needed.

Have you checked your engine mounts? If they are worn or loose, it could cause the engine to vibrate and produce a rattling noise. You may need to have them replaced by a mechanic.
