Why does my Ford Kuga engine rev high when idling?

I recently noticed that whenever my Ford Kuga is idling, the engine sounds like it's revving higher than normal. What could be causing this and should I be concerned?

It's possible that your engine's idle speed is set too high. You can try adjusting it yourself or take it to a mechanic who specializes in Ford cars.

Another potential cause could be a faulty idle air control valve. My advice would be to have it checked and replaced if necessary.

Make sure your spark plugs and air filter are clean and in good condition. This can also affect idle speed and engine performance.
