I recently purchased a Ford Transit Custom and noticed that the engine make a strange knocking noise when starting in cold weather. It usually goes away after a few minutes of driving. Is this something to be concerned about? What could be causing this issue?
ReplyIt is normal for diesel engines to make a knocking noise, especially in cold weather. However, if the noise persists or gets worse, it could indicate a problem with the fuel injectors or timing chain.
Have you checked the oil levels in your engine? Low oil levels can cause knocking noises, so make sure to top it up if it's low.
