Why is my Ford Ranger's engine making a clicking noise?

I recently bought a used Ford Ranger and I've noticed that the engine makes a clicking noise when I start it. It goes away after a few minutes of driving, but it's quite concerning. Should I be worried about this?

It's possible that there is an issue with the valve lifters or the fuel injectors in your engine. I would recommend bringing it to a mechanic to get it checked out.

I had a similar issue with my Ford Ranger and it turned out to be a faulty spark plug. You may want to check those as well.

It could also just be a normal noise for this type of engine. You can always check online forums or ask other Ford Ranger owners for their experience with this issue.
