Why is my Ford Puma's engine making a tapping noise?

Recently, my Ford Puma's engine has started making a tapping noise. It only happens when the car is idling and gets louder when I rev the engine. What could be causing this and is it something I need to get checked out right away?

It's possible that the tapping noise could be caused by a lack of oil or dirty oil in your car's engine. I would recommend checking your oil levels and getting an oil change if needed. If the issue persists, it may be a sign of a more serious engine problem and I would advise taking it to a mechanic for further inspection.

I had a similar issue with my Ford Puma and it turned out to be a loose valve in the engine. It's best to get it checked out by a mechanic to avoid any potential damage to your car's engine.

The tapping noise could also be caused by a faulty spark plug. I would suggest getting your spark plugs replaced to see if that resolves the issue.
