Why is my Ford Ranger making a ticking noise?

I have a 2019 Ford Ranger and recently it has started to make a ticking noise while idling. It seems to go away when I accelerate, but it's becoming concerning. What could be causing this and how do I fix it?

It's possible that the ticking noise is coming from your engine. This could be caused by low oil pressure or a loose valve. I would recommend taking it to a mechanic to get it checked out, as these issues could lead to more serious problems if left unfixed.

I had the same issue with my Ford Ranger and it turned out to be a faulty fan blade. When the engine is warm, the fan can make a ticking noise as it spins. It's an easy and inexpensive fix, so I wouldn't worry too much.

Have you noticed if the ticking noise is louder when it's cold outside? This could be a sign that your oil filter needs to be replaced. It's a simple maintenance task that can improve engine performance and reduce noise.
