Why is my Ford Transit Custom making a strange ticking noise when I start it?

I recently purchased a Ford Transit Custom and I've noticed that every time I start the vehicle, it makes a strange ticking noise. It goes away after a few minutes but I'm concerned that there may be a larger issue at hand. Can anyone provide insight on what could be causing this noise and if it's something I should be worried about?

It's common for Ford Transits to make a ticking noise when starting up. This is usually caused by the fuel injectors. However, if the noise continues for more than a few minutes or if it becomes louder, I would recommend getting it checked out by a mechanic.

I had the same issue with my Ford Transit. The ticking noise was caused by a faulty serpentine belt. I would suggest having your vehicle inspected by a mechanic to determine if this is the issue for you.

I've owned a Ford Transit for years and have never experienced this issue. It's always best to err on the side of caution and have a professional take a look at it. It could be a simple fix or a sign of a larger problem.
