Why is the Ford S-Max's transmission slipping and how can it be fixed?

I have a 2015 Ford S-Max and recently the transmission has been slipping when shifting gears. Is this a common issue with this model and what steps can I take to fix it?

Hi Emily, a slipping transmission can be a sign of a few different issues. It's possible that the transmission fluid is low or needs to be changed. I would recommend taking your car to a trusted mechanic to have them check the fluid levels and possibly perform a transmission flush. It's also possible that there is an issue with the transmission itself, such as worn out gears or faulty solenoids. In that case, it's best to have a professional diagnose and repair the issue.

Hi Emily, I had a similar issue with my Ford S-Max and it turned out to be a problem with the transmission solenoid pack. It's a common issue with this model and can be fixed by replacing the pack. I would recommend taking your car to a Ford dealership for this repair as they will have experience with this specific issue.

Hi Emily, my Ford S-Max had a similar problem and it was due to a failing torque converter. It's not as common as the other issues, but it's still possible. I would recommend taking your car to a mechanic to have them check the torque converter and possibly replace it if needed.
