Why is my Ford Mondeo making a loud clicking noise when I turn the steering wheel?

I've noticed that whenever I turn my steering wheel to the left or right, there's a noticeable clicking sound coming from the front of my Ford Mondeo. It's starting to become quite loud and I'm worried it may be a sign of a bigger problem. Any ideas on what could be causing this and how I can fix it?

Hi Emily, the most common cause of steering wheel clicking noises in Ford Mondeos is worn out CV joints. It's important to get this checked out by a mechanic as soon as possible as it can lead to further damage if left untreated. They will be able to replace the affected joints and get rid of that annoying clicking sound. Good luck!

I had the same issue with my Ford Mondeo and it turned out to be a loose steering column. I would highly recommend getting this looked at by a professional as it can become a safety hazard if not fixed. I hope this helps!

Sometimes, worn out tie rod ends can also cause clicking noises when turning the steering wheel. I suggest getting this checked out by a mechanic and replace any damaged tie rod ends. Take care!
