Why is the Ford Transit Custom engine making weird noises?

I've been driving my Ford Transit Custom for about a year now and recently I've noticed strange noises coming from the engine. It's almost like a rattling sound and I'm not sure what could be causing it. I've been regularly changing the oil and following the maintenance schedule, so I don't think it's due to neglect.
