How do I check the transmission fluid on a Ford Galaxy?

I recently bought a used Ford Galaxy and I want to make sure the transmission fluid is at the right level. Can someone walk me through the steps to check it and add more if needed?

Hey Julie, to check the transmission fluid on a Ford Galaxy, you first need to park the car on a level surface and wait for the engine to cool down. Then, locate the transmission dipstick, which should be near the back of the engine near the firewall. Make sure the car is turned off and remove the dipstick to check the fluid level. If it's below the recommended level, you can add more through the dipstick tube using a funnel. Remember to use the appropriate type of transmission fluid for your Galaxy.

Hi Julie, checking the transmission fluid level is an important maintenance task for your Ford Galaxy. If the level is low, it could indicate a leak or other issue that needs to be addressed. Additionally, old or dirty fluid can cause problems with shifting and overall performance. As a personal preference, I like to check my car's fluids every month, just to make sure everything is running smoothly.
