How do I fix the faulty air conditioning in my Ford Puma?

I just bought a used Ford Puma and I noticed that the air conditioning isn't working properly. It takes a long time for the air to cool down and sometimes it doesn't cool at all. Is there anything I can do to fix it or do I need to take it to a mechanic?

Hi Melissa, it's possible that the air conditioning system in your Ford Puma needs to be recharged with refrigerant. You can purchase a pressure gauge and a refrigerant kit from an auto parts store and try to recharge it yourself. However, if that doesn't work, it's best to take it to a mechanic who can properly diagnose the issue.

Hi Melissa, another possible issue with your air conditioning could be a clogged cabin air filter. Check to see if it needs to be replaced and if that doesn't solve the problem, it's best to have a professional take a look.
