What is the best way to troubleshoot engine problems in a Ford S-Max?

I recently purchased a Ford S-Max and have been experiencing some engine issues. The check engine light keeps coming on and I'm not sure what could be causing it. I want to fix it before it gets worse, but I'm not sure where to start. Any advice on how to troubleshoot engine problems in a Ford S-Max?

Hi Emily, sorry to hear about your engine troubles. One common reason for the check engine light to come on is a faulty oxygen sensor. I would recommend taking your car to a certified mechanic to get it checked out and possibly replace the sensor.

Hey Emily, another possibility could be a loose gas cap. Make sure to tighten it properly and see if the light goes off. If not, then I would suggest getting the codes read at an auto parts store to get a better idea of the issue.

Hello Emily, it's important to keep up with regular maintenance for your Ford S-Max, especially when it comes to the engine. Make sure to check the oil, coolant, and other fluids regularly to prevent any issues.
