What kind of oil should I use for my Ford S-Max?

I recently purchased a used Ford S-Max and I noticed that it is due for an oil change. I'm not sure what type of oil is recommended for this car. Can you provide any advice on what kind of oil I should use and how often I should change it?

Hi Samantha, congratulations on your purchase! For your Ford S-Max, it is recommended to use a full synthetic 5W-30 oil. You can typically change the oil every 7,500 miles or every 6 months, whichever comes first.

Hey Samantha, I have a friend who owns a Ford S-Max and he uses a synthetic blend 5W-20 oil. He changes it every 5,000 miles and hasn't had any issues with his car. It's ultimately up to you and your driving habits, but just make sure you use a high quality oil.

Hi Samantha, I also have a Ford S-Max and I use a full synthetic 0W-20 oil. I know it's a bit on the expensive side, but it provides better protection for the engine. Plus, I only have to change it every 10,000 miles.
