Why does my Ford Kuga's engine keep stalling?

I recently purchased a Ford Kuga and have been having issues with the engine stalling while driving. It happens randomly and can be quite dangerous. I've taken it to the mechanic but they haven't been able to find the issue. Any advice on what could be causing this and how to fix it?
