Why does my Ford Mondeo make a squeaking noise when I apply the brakes?

I have a Ford Mondeo that is about 3 years old and it started making a loud squeaking noise whenever I hit the brakes. I got it checked at a mechanic and they replaced the brake pads but the noise is still there. Any suggestions on what the issue could be?

It could be an issue with the brake caliper, as it is responsible for applying pressure to the pads when the brakes are pressed. I had a similar issue with my Ford Focus and replacing the caliper solved the problem.

Another possible cause could be a build-up of debris or rust on the brake rotors. I suggest getting them cleaned or replaced if necessary.
