Why does my Ford Transit Custom's engine make a clicking noise?

I've noticed that my Ford Transit Custom's engine has started making a clicking noise. It seems to happen when the car is idling or driving at low speeds. Should I be concerned about this? What could be causing it?

Hey Nate, it's common for Ford Transit Custom engines to make a clicking noise. It could be a variety of things causing it, like worn lifters or a loose valve. I would recommend getting it checked out by a mechanic just to be safe.

Hi Nate, I used to have a Ford Transit Custom and experienced the same issue. It ended up being a faulty camshaft position sensor. I would suggest taking it to a Ford dealership for a proper diagnosis and repair.

Hi Nate, I've heard that sometimes debris can get stuck in the engine causing a clicking noise. Try changing your oil and doing a thorough engine cleaning to see if that helps.
