I have a 2014 Ford Focus and recently noticed that it's making a rattling noise when I accelerate. It's coming from the engine area and I'm not sure what could be causing it. Any ideas on what could be causing this issue?
ReplyHi Samantha, it's possible that the rattling noise could be caused by a loose heat shield on the exhaust. I would recommend taking it to a mechanic to have them check it out and fix it if needed.
Samantha, another potential cause could be a faulty timing belt tensioner. This could cause the rattling noise and if left unchecked, could lead to bigger issues down the road. I would suggest taking it to a trusted mechanic to have it checked out.
