Why is my Ford Kuga's steering wheel making a strange noise?

My Ford Kuga has started making a strange noise whenever I turn the steering wheel. It's not a consistent noise and it doesn't happen every time I turn, but it's definitely noticeable. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

It sounds like your power steering pump may be malfunctioning. This can be caused by a variety of factors, such as low power steering fluid or a faulty pump. I would recommend checking your power steering fluid levels and consulting a mechanic for further assistance.

In my experience, this could also be caused by a loose or damaged belt. If the belt isn't tight enough, it can slip and cause a strange noise when turning the steering wheel. I would suggest having your belt checked and replaced if necessary.

I had a similar issue with my Ford Kuga and it turned out to be a worn out tie rod. When the tie rod wears down, it can cause a knocking sound when turning the wheel. I would advise getting your tie rods inspected and replaced if needed.
