Why is my Ford S-Max heater not working?

I noticed that my Ford S-Max is not producing heat in the cabin when I turn on the heater. The fan is blowing, but it's just blowing cool air. What could be the cause of this issue and how can I fix it?

One possible reason for this issue could be a faulty heater core. You may need to replace it to restore the heat in your cabin. Another reason could be a clogged radiator, which can prevent the hot coolant from circulating properly. In this case, flushing the radiator may solve the problem.

It's also worth checking the thermostat of your car. A malfunctioning thermostat can cause the heater to blow cool air or no air at all. If it's stuck open, the engine won't reach its optimal temperature and the heater will not work. Replacing the thermostat is a relatively simple fix.

If none of the above solutions work, it's possible that there is an issue with the heater control valve. This valve controls the flow of hot coolant into the heater core. If it's stuck or damaged, it won't allow hot coolant to enter the heater core and you won't get any heat. You may need to replace the valve to fix the issue.
