Why is the Ford Puma's automatic start-stop technology not working?

I noticed that my Ford Puma's automatic start-stop technology is not functioning. Even when the car is stationary, the engine does not turn off to save fuel. Any ideas on what could be causing this issue?

Hi Maria, it is possible that there is an issue with the start-stop system itself. It may need to be recalibrated or there could be a faulty component.

Another potential reason is that the battery may be too weak to support the start-stop function. Have you had the battery checked recently?

I had a similar issue with my Ford Puma. It turned out to be a faulty sensor that needed to be replaced. It may be worth getting it checked by a mechanic.
