Why is the steering wheel on my Ford Mondeo shaking while driving?

I recently bought a used Ford Mondeo and I've noticed that the steering wheel shakes quite a bit while I'm driving. It's especially noticeable at higher speeds on the highway. Is this something I should be worried about and what should I do to fix it?

This could be a sign of worn out or unbalanced tires. I suggest taking your car to a reputable tire shop and have them check the alignment and balance of your tires. It's a relatively simple fix, but important for safe and smooth driving.

It could also be an issue with your suspension or steering components. I recommend taking your car to a mechanic for a thorough inspection. They will be able to pinpoint the issue and provide the necessary repairs.

I had a similar issue with my Ford Mondeo and it turned out to be a loose tie rod. I suggest checking all of your steering components for any signs of wear or looseness and replacing any that are damaged.

Make sure to also check your wheel bearings as they can cause steering wheel vibration when they are worn out. A mechanic can easily diagnose and replace them if necessary.
