I have noticed that the brake discs in my Ford Transit Custom are continuously overheating, especially when I am driving long distances. The heat is causing the discs to warp and this is affecting the overall efficiency of my braking system. Is there anything I can do to fix this issue?
ReplyOne of the main causes of brake disc overheating is excessive braking on long downhill descents. Try to minimize your use of the brakes in these situations and use engine braking instead.
You may also want to check the condition of your brake pads. If they are worn out, they can create excessive heat and cause the brake discs to overheat.
