What is the optimal engine oil for a Ford Transit Custom?

I recently bought a Ford Transit Custom and I want to make sure I use the right engine oil. Can anyone recommend which type of engine oil is best for this model? Should I stick to conventional or synthetic oil? And how often should I change it?

I've been using synthetic oil in my Ford Transit Custom for the past few years and have had no issues. It's better for the engine and lasts longer, just make sure to change it every 7,500 miles.

Stick to conventional oil. It's cheaper and does the job just fine. You can change it every 5,000 miles.

I highly recommend using branded engine oil, such as Motorcraft. It may be a bit more expensive, but it's specifically designed for Ford vehicles and will keep your Transit Custom running smoothly.
